How To Do a Dumbbell Deadlift

This video shows the proper way to do a dumbbell deadlift.  Obviously just like with a barbell the main difference between this and a sumo dumbbell deadlift is the foot position.  Keep in mind this is not a stiff legged deadlift.  In this version the knees are bent, and the hamstrings are stretched tight as the glutes are pushed back.  This is a very good exercise, especially if you have dumbbell that are heavy enough.  As a side benefit, you can also follow this up with farmers walks since the top position is identical.
