The Secret to Football Strength Training

So is there really a big training secret to reveal in thefootball strength training?!  Well it’s not really a secret, to dominate on the football field you must get stronger.  The secret, if you want to call it that, is how best to do that.  Should you max out every week?  Should you do a bunch of jump training?  Should you do a lot of stretching?  Should you do a lot of conditioning exercises?  The simple answer is YES!  So should you train like a bodybuilder, powerlifter or an olympic lifter?  Again, the answer is a combination of all three.  That is why such a simple answer as, get stronger…turns out to be not so simple.  The best football strength and conditioning program draws the best  from each training method.  You have to learn how to maximize your time in the gym, and get the most results on the field.  Never lose site of why you are training.  If your football strength training doesn’t directly carry over to the football field, then it is a waste of time.

So what if I told you that you could have your very own football strength and conditioning coach?  And what if I told you that he would answer all your questions, and show you how to set up your program to maximize your time and the gym, and your performance on the football field.  Well as it turns out, David Claiborne of Genesis Strength and Conditioning has done just that.  He has released a program called “Insane Football Training”.  In it he takes all the guess workout out of your football workouts.  He covers the off season, in-season, plyometrics, and even adjusts it depending on what level you are.  This is definitely a program that is worth checking out.

So are you going to take action?  Are you going to use this program to get better for next season, or are you going to put it off.  Where do you think you will be next year if you don’t make a change now.  I have news for you, if you don’t get better you will still be a same.  This is a great chance to improve your football strength training, and improve your play on the field.  And really, isn’t that what it’s all about?
