The Secret to Football Strength Training

So is there really a big training secret to reveal in thefootball strength training?!  Well it's not really a secret, to dominate on the football field you must get stronger.  The secret, if you want to call it that, is how best to do that.  Should you max out every week?  Should you do a bunch of jump training?  Should you do a lot of stretching?  Should you do a lot of conditioning exercises?  The simple answer is YES!  So should you train like a bodybuilder, powerlifter or an olympic lifter?  Again, the answer is a combination of all three.  That is why such a simple answer as, get stronger…turns out to be not so simple.  The best football strength and conditioning program draws the best  from each training method.  You have to learn how to maximize your time in the gym, and get the most results on the field.  Never lose site of why you are training.  If your football strength training doesn't directly carry over to the football field, then it is a waste of time.
